Even though he used to sing during his college days at B.Boroah College at Guwahati, Zubeen Daa started his career in the Assamese music industry with the release of his debut album “Anamika” in the year 1992 which became an instant hit and after that, he never looked back.
Apart from singing in Assamese, Zubeen Da also sang in many other Indian languages as well. Moreover, he also sings folk songs like Borgeet, Lokogeet, Jyoti Xongeet etc. to spread our rich culture amongst the masses all over the world. Apart from singing he is also a prominent actor and has acted in movies like “Mon Jai”, “Gaane ki Aaane”.
He also holds the record of being the only singer in this world to record 36 songs within one single night.
His love for Assam is understood by the fact that even after getting better offers he chose to live and work from here only.
At the end, we can only say that he has been people’s artist from the beginning of his career and has done a lot for our state and we are proud to have an artist like Zubeen Garg.
