Vivo India is all set with its new flagship phone the Vivo X21, which is going to be launched tomorrow. Earlier, the phone was on display at the Mobile World Congress 2018.

It’ll also be Vivo’s debut phone with in-display fingerprint sensor technology, and we can expect to see the same technology in some of the upcoming smart-phones by the company.

Like many other players in the market providing high-end smartphones at a budget price, the design of the X21 also seems to be inspired from Apple’s iPhone X. Vivo X21 comes with a 6.28-inch display with a notch at the top which makes it look similar to iPhone X at least from the front.

Speaking about the specifications of the Vivo X21:

Vivo has done a great job on this phone by incorporating a Qualcomm chipset. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz. Unlike the other phones in the market, it will only be available with the option 6GB RAM which is actually really nice along with an internal memory of 128 GB. The great thing which Vivo did here is by keeping the option for microSD, allowing users to expand the memory up to 256 GB.

What about the display?

The X21 comes with 19:9 aspect ratio Super AMOLED FHD 6.28-inch screen with a resolution of (1080×2280) pixels. The phone has a dual-rear camera with an LED flash in a vertical set up, one with 12 MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 along with a 5 MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.8. The front-facing camera comes with f/2 aperture 12 MP sensor. Some other features included in the front camera are 3D Mapping, IR fill light.

Vivo X21 also supports face unlock with a feature named “Face Wake” included in the front camera.

The phone has a dual-sim setup and supports LTE with a 3200 mAh battery

Speaking about the operating system, Vivo X21 will run on FunTouch OS 4.0, based on Android Oreo 8.1, however during the later phases the users will be able to upgrade to Android P Public Beta.

Other features of the phone include USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac.

About the pricing, Vivo has still not announced the price for X21 however in China it is available for CNY 3,598 which amounts to approx. Rs 37,100 in INR. But Vivo sure will keep the prices low as possible in order to compete with the players in the market.

The phone is already up for pre-booking in the company’s official online store.
